I was very excited to see this page. I hope eventually many people will add chapters. I have many strange, exciting wonderful, dreams every night and I'd love to share them to see if anyone else has similar dreams. Instead of writing about a specific dream this time-- my dreams are very strange and choppy and most people think I'm just making them up because they are such nonsense-- I'd like to start out by talking about specific things that happen reacurringly in my dreams. First of all I do fly in a lot of my dreams. It's not unusual when I'm dreaming it. Its just like it start walking or running so fast that eventually I start soaring overhead. Its not very high, just like at tree level. And its not a supernatural thing, its just to get where I'm going faster. Another thing I dream all the time is that my teeth are falling out. this has been going on for about 5 years, and I have no idea what it means, if anything. Its just like all of a sudden in a dream situation, I will discover that one of my teeth/tooths? are loose and it will come out. Shortly after all of my teeth will just start crumbling out of my mouth and my mouth will bleed and I will become completely incompacitated. I wont be able to talk because my mouth is full of crumbled teeth and I will collapse on the ground and barely be able to keep my eyes open. And the very strangest thing is that in my dream I will think to myself "I can't believe this is really happening to me just like in my dreams". It is so strange. If anyone has any similar dreams or insight on these, I'd love to here about it.

HEY MISSY JOIN THE CLUB. THAT FLYING IS WHAT I HAD FOR YEARS UNTIL BY ACCIDENT A FRIEND TOLD OF HER HUSBAN HAVING DREAMS OF FLY. I STILL DON'T KNOW HOW IT HAPPENED BUT IN THE DICUSSION A COMMENT WAS MADE ABOUT ONE TRYING TO ESCAPE. I GAVE IT A LITTLE THOUGHT BUT NEVER PUT IT IN IT'S PROPER PLACE IN MY MIND. STRANE AS IT MAY SEEM I NEVER HAD A FLYING DREAM AGAIN. THE TEETH ITEM APPEARS TO ME THAT YOU FEEL YOU ARE LOSING YOU GRIP OR BITE ON SOME THING. IT IS SIMILAR TO LOSING YOU WALLET WHICH TELLS THE PERSON THEY ARE LOSING THE POWER OR POSITION THEY HAVE. HOPE IT HELPS.

I've often heard that flying is a sign that you are trying to break free of limitations or obtain a goal. One explanation I recently encountered at dreamdoghouse.com was that the height at wich you are flying will determine how easily you obtain your goal. As far as the teeth dream-- I've heard everything from a desire to suckle from your mother's breast to a sign that you will lose someone who is significant to you or have a great financial loss. I would like to share the dream that lead me to this website, it was probably one of the most peculiar dreams I've ever had. As I stated before, my dreams are really choppy, and sometimes its hard for me to remmber them in their entirety, but from what I can remember it started with me being lost in a neighborhood that I lived in as a child, but I was the same age that I am now. I knew I needed to get somewhere-- to a relatives house, but it was taking me a very long time. I came to the church in my neighborhood. This is where it get interesting. As a child my parents were divorced. My mother was catholic and my father is a non-denominational Christian. When I visited my mother as a child I went to mass with her, but I didn't really participate. I didn't take communion or kneel before I sat or take holy water at the door because I didnt really agree with those things. So in my dream I came to this church and mass was just ending. I knew that if I went throught the church I could get where i wanted to go faster, but I was really afraid that if I went inside, everyone would know I wasnt Catholic and punish me or be angry with me. I went inside and I was stopped by a nun who knew my name and thought I was a member of the church. (I've had this church scenario before in dreams, minus what I'm about to write) She gave me an Easter basket and told me to deliver candy and easter eggs to every house in the neighborhood. So I took the basket and went outside and it was nightime. I started walking fast because I was getting closer to my destination and then I started flying. I flew over some children and they saw me and thought I was the Easter Bunny. For some reason, I knew that when they saw me, I was in a big pink bunny costume, even though I wasn't really wearing it. Now the children were following me from house to house (we were walking now)because they wanted to help me deliver the candy. I couldn't get rid of them and I couldnt tell them that I wasnt really the Easter Bunny. One of the children was older than the rest, probably about a 15 or 16-year-old boy. They all followed me into a house and I explained to the older boy that I was not really the Easter Bunny and as soon as I told him this, he saw me as I really was and said he wanted to help me. I told him if he wanted to help, he and the rest of the kids had to steal an object from the house and bring it to me. I went and sat down in the closet and the older boy brought me a piece of pottery and I pulled him into the closet and we started to kiss and embrace. Thats all I remember. I sould explain that I am a 21-year old female and I have no children, and I'm not married. I promise I'm not making any of this up (my friends always think I am) and I'm sorry it was so long. I would love to hear what anyone thinks about all of this.

Missy, I wanted to tell you that the dream you have about your teeth falling out is almost exactly like the one I have been having. I have it about 2 or 3 times a month, and I can't really say that it is a nightmare but it is always so real that while I am having it, I really believe that all my teeth are falling out. It is always a different situation that I am in, but I know it is coming on because my gums start hurting and one by one my teeth fall out. But it isn't only my teeth, but pieces of my gums fall out. Every keeps telling me that its okay and that it can be fixed and in my dream I keep thinking okay this is only a dream and not real but I can't seem to wake up immediately and I begin to think that it is real. It is very strange and this has been going on for about 6 or 7 years now. I have read different interpretations and I don't believe that some of them pertain to me, I am not sure what it means though. What is your insight?

People I know find it hard to believe that I have the teeth dream. Part of me wants to think that dreams are just unconcious ramblings, but I don't think we would dream the same things over and over again if maybe the dream wasnt trying to tell us something. I don't think the general explanations you read in books and on webites can be applied directly to your life. For the most part, except for the freudian breast suckle explanation, loosing your teeth signifies that you are afraid you are going to loose something in your life (money, friends, significant other, etc). What I find particularly perplexing is that I've been having this dream for so long and nothing in my life is the same as it was when I first started having it so I really don't know what to relate it to. I don't have any money. I've been in more than one relationsihp since I've been having the dream. I don't really have family problems, so I really don't know. I'm not going to go crazy trying to figure it out, though. Next time I dream it I'll try to take the whole context of the dream to see if I can't figure some things out.

Missy, In response to your teeth dream: i have read in numerous books and herd from many different doctors that a dream involnving the falling out of teeth or loosing teeth or even a loose tooth may be caused by grinding your teeth as you sleep and it is just your body trying to stop you somehow. so you may be grinding your teeth in your sleep and you may not know it. There are a few side effects to grinding your teeth in your sleep also which include a headache and in some cases maybe a jaw ache when you wake up. If this is your case there is a simple way to solve it. You can visit a doctor or dentist and get fitted for a mouthpeice that you put in your mouth before you go to bed and it keeps you fromgrinding your teeth therefore causing the dreams to cease and also the symptoms if you have them.

I cannot sleep well, I have horrible nightmares about my children. Always only one child per dream, different situations, with my 4 year old, alligators, and bad evil people, losing them,them dying or other hings the alligators are drivingm crazy, I also happen t live in FL near a lake. I don't know what it means and I am up all night checking on my boys and shaking with fear from these dreams, I need some advice, I am only 21, I do not know if this is healthy.

I had the teeth dream again. This time it was different than it usually is. I dreamed that I was outside of my grandparents home and they had a chicken wire fence around their yard. My boyfriend and I were outside playing with my younger sisters and he crawled through a hole in the fence. A brown bear walked up to him and I said "Look Honey, its a bear. He reached out to touch it and the bear swatted at him. He crawled back under the fence and the bear followed him. The bear was pawing at him virociously and there was a lot of blood. The bear picked him up in his jaw and shook him violently. I was screaming for someone to help us and I saw a wooden bar stool. I picked it up by its legs and hit the bear over the head with it. The bear dropped my boyfriend and came after me, but my grandfather came outside and shot at the bear with his shotgun. He missed, but it scared the bear away. We all went inside to tend to my boyfriends wounds. He was badly hurt. I felt incredibly guilty for telling him to look at the bear and I kept apologizing. I expected him to say "it's not your falt," but instead he angrily said "you should be sorry. I almost got killed." All of my boyfriend's friends were inside and they kept yelling at me and telling me I was horrible for what I'd done. I left the room and went to tend to the dishes in the kitchen. One of me teeth felt loose, so I began to wiggle it with my tongue. It came loose and pulled a peice of my gums away with it. I held it and examined it, and my gums were all black and decayed. I started examining my teeth, and they all started comming out in chunks with my gums, sometimes 4 or 5 teeth at a time all attached to big rotted pieces of my gums. ( I appologize, I know this is disgusting) In my dream I thought to myself "i can't believe this is happening to me, just like in my dreams" Thats really all I remember. The way my teeth fell out in this dream was diffeerent than it usually happens. Usually they fall apart and sort of crumble out of my mouth, but this time they were comming out whole and I have never dreamed the rotting gums thing before. This is so strange. The context that I dreamt it in -- with my boyfriend and everything -- really makes me wonder. Any ideas.

I had this really freaky dream that I was going on a trip to a South American country. Before we boarded the plane, the guide (i recognized him as my science teacher) told the people going on the trip to burn a plastic seal over their tongue. He passed around saran wrap-like stuff and a lighter and the people attached the seals. he said the seals were used to keep out foreign bacterias that would make us sick. at the end of the trip, the guide gathered us around and had a pair of scissors in his hands. he said he had forgotten something about sterilyzing our tongues and he had to remove them. People were lining up to get their tongues cut of...before it was my "turn", I woke up.

I keep having dreams of being raped. I don't what this means but it bothers me. I also keep having dreams of cleaning. I am always picking up toys, making beds and straightening a house that isn't mine. I wish I knew what they meant. I have looked them up in dream books and they are always different..

I read all of your dreams and think they are so very normal compared to mine. I don't think they are anything for you all to worry about. My dreams contain too much detail for me to write them out right now, but I did have the tooth dream which won't take long to describe. I dreampt that my bottom jaw was pushed out and locked, so that my bottom front teeth covered the top front teeth. Then with my jaw locked, it kept pulling back slowly, without my control. The bottom teeth kept pulling back on the top teeth until it snapped them right off and my teeth started to fall out along with lots of blood. When I woke up I was not in pannic, but found that my top front teeth and gums ached horrifically and my teeth were loose. This was a scare to me because it showed that I could cause real damage to myself in my sleep.

I have read all of your stories about dreams. I have been having that teeth falling out dream every since I left my husband about 5 years ago. I have no idea what it means, but I did run into a sliding glass door knocking out all of my front teeth once, so i thought it was a result of that. I have been having very vivid dreams of crashing into the back of another car though. I have this dream every other night now, for the past three or so weeks. I hate it. It scares me and I have no idea what to make of it. I wake up right after I hit, and I never get to see the results. I am driving, I look away for a split second and then "BAM" , I crash into the back of an old, very wide dark blue sedan, very hard, Any advice?

All of my life I have been dreaming of good vs. evil. Lately I have been having a repeated nightmare of a ghost. She only lived in the bathroom in the begininng. OPening and closing the bathroom door and cabinets and leaving the water running. I was getting sick of it and remembered looking outside and looking at the balcony that suddenly became the roof and seeing thousands of cats and kittens. I felt water on my feet and realiezed she pluged up the sink and the bathtub and had put electrical supplies it it to try to kill us. At the time I didn't know who us was. So i would take out the electrical supplies and unplug the bathtub and sink to only find that she had done it again as I turned my back. I was getting upset with this ghost. I knew for some odd reason it was a female. So, I decided to make her mad. Then she would follow me up and down the hallway to really scare me and I had had enough. So i wuld go in the bathroom and do the stuff purposely before she would to make her mad. She became very irrate and finally showed herself. It was a little blonde hair blue eyed girl about four or five. I asked her why she was doing this and she had stated that her twin was making her. I looked to my side and saw her twin standing their and realized I was dealing with some sort of exorcist that couldn't basically find a body so was a ghost instead. The became real life and I remeber how evil they were. I turned around to my mother and grandmother and asked them for the holy water and all the Bibles they could find. I saw the little girls go down into this room with a ladder and remember trapping them in there. Because they were ghosts, the easily got out. I then threw some holy water on them and some boy had handed me the bible. I think it was my brother when he was younger but not so sure. Where the holy water had hit them there bodies strted to desintigrate. I placed a Bible on them and realized the desentigrated that way to but the kept coming back and then I was awoken by the phone. Can you please help me to figure out this dream? Thanks
